“Just as the incessant waves dancing to the dynamic tune and rhythm of the ocean brings one to stillness, the movement of music and dance on stage draws one within, transmuting everything experienced & witnessed in that space.”

The stage is a profound space of experience and transformation. It is a space where we become hollow to embody what flows through us at that moment and consciously share that vulnerable space of surrender with the audience, providing them with a seed of experience to take home.

The ebb and flow of our emotions change like the phases of the moon - never the same and always in movement. Sometimes fully present, sometimes absent; and at other times in transition. Similarly, no performance is ever identical. Each one is transformative, where the space absorbs and produces the act. Neither the performer nor the performed remain the same ever again; reminding us of the waves of the cosmos!

This three-part performance delves into the human longing for oneness, exploring it through the divine symbolism of Radha and Krishna, the complexities of human relationships, and the yearning for divine communion. It reflects the shared human experiences of love, longing, loss, betrayal, and the search for oneness, revealing the common threads that bind us all.

samhita

In Samhita, Carnatic Music and Bharatanatyam merge in an extempore dialogue, blending spontaneous creativity within the traditional framework. Along with original compositions by the artists, this performance draws from Carnatic Music's improvisational elements, where music and dance unite seamlessly.

Specially curated varying length performances for intimate spaces and audiences who wish to experience the transformative power of art in an intimate setting. Guided by a shared passion for philosophy, poetry and aesthetics, the artists engage in a dynamic, in-the-moment exchange, celebrating their deep artistic connection.

Connection between Music and Dance

"It was interesting to see this concept of the connection between dance and music take form. One thing that really stuck with me was the fact that there is music with dance; however, there is no dance without music, and dance is simply a visual form of music; this encapsulates the concept of this performance. I’ve gained a new perspective on the world of dance, and I can only hope that one day my understanding of music and its relationship with dance will be a fraction of that of the talented performers who performed"
