anunada - resonance
About
Set amidst the warm embrace of mother nature, anunāda is an intimate space; where we co-create a resonant field with intention. A space of deep listening, where we pause to reflect on what this means in the way we live our lives everyday. A multi-modal experience and engagement that allows us to observe the direction of our movement - in thought, word and action.
Description
nāda - nātya - yoga
Through the profound power of vibration, sound, movement and the unifying force of breath that drives us all - anunāda is a space for connection.
Led by Ranjani Ramakrishnan, Musician-Composer and Co-Founder of Niyantri, these powerful sessions evoke an inner resonance through the power of sound or nāda, as vibrations, tones, chants and the raw pulsating rhythms of nature. nāda-yoga helps attune our bodies as instruments of expression that vibrate from the center and move to and within its interconnected acoustic environment.
Led by Divya Devaguptapu, Dancer-Choreographer and Co-Founder of Niyantri, the sessions incorporate the essence of nātya (Indian Classical Dance), explored as somatic movement that originates from the center. Participants are invited into an inner movement extending as an outer dance.
Through breath work and specific asana practice, Carolyn Belko, senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher, gently guides the participants to prepare their mind and body for deeper explorations in sound & movement.
Nestled amidst the breathtaking desert landscape of Baja California, with the pristine waters of the Gulf of California making for spectacular views of Sunrise, Flores Del Mar is more than a retreat. It is a spiritual sanctuary where the warm loving expanse of mother nature beckons us to go beyond our current perceptions into a space where stillness merges with silence.
